Ashwagandha (aka Somnifera dunal) is an adaptogenic herb that’s popular in Ayurvedic medicine. It has been used for more than 2,500 years. It’s actually the most commonly used and extensively researched adaptogen herb. It’s valued for its thyroid-modulating, neuroprotective, anti-anxiety, antidepressant and anti-inflammatory properties, which are just some of the many ashwagandha benefits.
BLUE LOTUS (or Blue Lilly) is known as the ancient Egyptian Dream Flower. The flower can be used as a sleep aid, to reduce anxiety and as a stress reliever. Blue Lotus is a natural anti-spasmodic and may give you feelings of calming euphoria.
BUTTERFLY PEA FLOWER (Clitoria ternatea L.) Marcus Gavius Apicius, a Roman gourmand who lived during the 1st century A.D. and enjoyed all things luxurious, coined the phrase "We eat first with our eyes." That's exactly how we feel about this magnificent flower, especially when it changes color right in front of your eyes.
Butterfly pea is highly valued in Ayurvedic medicine and "has been used for centuries as a memory enhancer, nootropic, antistress, anxiolytic, antidepressant, anticonvulsant, tranquilizing and sedative agent."
Damiana may help lower your stress levels and give a boost to your sexual drive. It is most commonly known due to its stimulant, aphrodisiac and nerve tonic properties. - Scoop 1-3 tablespoons of dried herb into a strainer.
- Heat 1 cup of water until it just comes to a boil.
- Place strainer in your cup.
- Pour hot water over herbs and cover to keep the essential oils from escaping.
- Steep for 15 minutes to 1 hour and strain.
